rec'd a package from our New York penpals with a variety of postcards, letters, swaps, brochures,a Flat Troop Leader, & a Girl Scouts against smoking program that their troop is going to do.
not everyone got a letter, so divided up the goodies among girls who didn't get letters.

for us to watch, I saw it years ago. Need to make sure it is a troop
appropriate movie.
2.hiking at Lake Paho.
3.troop camping in our yard, complete with s'mores & star gazing
4.a horse meeting.

we sold a total of 15 magazines: Katie & Moriah tied for 1st place top magazine seller with 4 each!

we sold a total of 218 nuts/candy. Cortney was top seller with 48, Lindsay 2nd with 42, Mackenzie 3rd with 34!

we earned a total of $218! top overall money maker was Lindsay with $251, 2nd Mackenzie with $239, & 3rd was Katie with $222!

our top selling product was Peanut Butter Dreams: 38
#2 was Salsa Mix with 32
#3 was Butter Toasted Peanuts with 25

Girl Scout Swimming Party

Lindsay, Katie, Mackenzie, Moriah, & Kayla attended the annual Girl Scout Sunday Swimming Party at the Stacy Center Pool in Princeton. A group picture was taken at the end with the donations the girls had brought for the women's shelter in Princeton that is supposed to appear in the Post Telegraph.
The girls swam, played in the gym, & swam again. Lindsay got bored & left early, so she was the first thru the snack line. The group was much smaller this year, Keri says a lot of girls have quit in Princeton, & she had talked to the Camp Woodland nurse, who had heard quite a few girls had quit scouting over the new programs/rules, etc.

Girl Scout Sunday 2009

Katie, Mackenzie, Lindsay, Moriah, & Kayla met at the Lineville-Mercer Christian Church in Mercer to celebrate Girl Scout Sunday. Rev. Jack Stark recognized the girls & told the congregation some of the history of Girl Scouts.

we bought a new sewing machine the other nite, & tonite, Katie & I cleared off the kitchen table, set up the machine, & sewed 7 blocks for her masterpiece-in-progress denim Girl Scout patch quilt. Katie sewed on one of the patches! Like many things in life, it's a bit harder than it looks...
