Kayleigh, Brandy, & Kassie caroled around Mercer square and made candy snowmen and snowglobes. I scheduled our traditional caroling for an afternoon filled with elementary basketball tournaments and dance classes.....

dress for the weather! Saturday December 10th we will meet at the Mercer Gazebo 2 p.m. we will Christmas Carol at open businesses around the square, and possibly at the senior housing as well. then back to my house to make a Christmas Craft and have a snack. done at 4 p.m.

Kassie, Brandy, Sierra, Maddi, Kayleigh, & Nataleigh have picked up their cookie sheets. have given 2 cases Caramel Delights, 2 cases Shortbread, & 3 cases Lemonades to Princeton Daisy Troop, will transfer in Snap when she texts me back with her troop # which I forgot to get....
I myself have sold 16 boxes of cookies...

Girl Scout Registration

had an hour registration after school at the park today....got Sierra, Kayleigh, Kassie, Brandy, Maddy, & Jazmine signed up. Nataleigh is a transfer.
Trinity, Braelyn, Liberty, Joselyn, Hayleigh, Karlee, & Emily want to join but couldn't get here today. Katie will be my helper.

Oooy! what a busy week!

started out early Saturday morning, with several of our troop who are also band members picking up trash on the square. then we ran the baby show, decorated our parade float, waited thru 2 heavy rains for the parade to start, threw candy to our adoring public, and on Sunday we volunteered at the Alumni Dinner. whew!
our own Aubrey was also Junior Miss Mercer!
working at the baby show: Aubrey, Trinity, Braelyn, Kylie, Kayla, Breanna, Jazmine, Emily, Kayleigh, Sierra, Mackenzie, Nataleigh, & Katie.

on top of all this, the girls were participating in Junior Miss Mercer contests, riding rides, pigwrestling, AND riding other floats AND marching in the band AND entering the local activities! and I know a couple of them were hanging out late nites at the Bethany Fair...

Finding Bigfoot Hayride

Saturday October 22 6-8 p.m.
dress for a hayride...we'll journey out into the woods looking for clues...'cause we're pretty sure there's a Squatch in those woods! if we survive, will play some Halloween games.

the ole swimmin' hole...

Emily, Vicki, Sierra, Emma, Kayleigh, Cassie, Brandy, Braelyn, Trinity, Aubrey, Katie, Liberty & Kayla swam today at the Princeton Pool. The weather was perfect! The girls seemed to have fun.

Camp Outback

attending: Captain Awesome (Lindsay), Nae Nae (Kylie), Chief Dorky (Kayla), Ris (Morrisa), Army Gal (Sierra), Gumball (Kayleigh), Icey (Brandy), Pelican Fly (Morgan) & plain ole Katie who arrived too late for a nickname hiked in the outback, learned cool Australian facts, ate s'mores, made crafts, tried out boomerangs, & stayed up all night, earning Great Barrier Reef & I Survived Camp.

Camp Outback is July 9th 6p.m....we will hike in 'The Outback', do fun Australian stuff, and the shelia's each get an outback hat, boomerang, & outback plushies. then we'll camp out in 'The Outback' in tents!

Swim Party is July 30th 2-4 at Princeton Pool. be there or be square!

Media Savvy

the girls decided if they wanted to 'work' in the newspaper or tv news field....then they named their media, made their logo, and came up with a lead story....it was a lot of fun. we videotaped newscasts, then had an Easter Egg Hunt in the front yard where in addition to finding eggs and candy, they found a couple of old golf balls and 2 very dirty quarters....

Sierra, Kayleigh, Mackenzie, Morgan, Emily, Braelyn, Aubrey, Breanna, Jazmine, & Katie attended church at Mercer Assembly of God, ate lunch at Mercer Pizza Plus, & joined the Princeton Girl Scouts for a skating party at Bethany Roll-o-Rama. what a way to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Girl Scouting!

Mind Your Manners Tea Party

Iris Rose, Delilah D'iambroni, Mylie Cyrus, Rachel, Lila Louise, & Charlotte O'hanahan (aka Mackenzie, Katie, Emily, Aubrey, Morrisa, & Jessie) practiced manners, learned cell phone etiquette, the history of tea parties, and read their fortunes in tea leaves.....finding elephants with flying fish, a chimpmunk, smiley faces, face with tongue stuck out, & a fish. so we can expect wisdom & strength, good fortune, change, and joy!

Emily gets a Daisy petal, Aubrey Manners Try-It, Morrisa & Mackenzie Model Citizen badge, Katie & Jessica Life Don't Sweat It Charm. will look for a fun tea party patch, too.

Mackenzie, Morgan, Jazmine, Lindsay, Katie, Emily, Kayleigh, & Sierra made pillows & tote bags from old t-shirts, stories from words cut from magazines, & magnets from bottle caps.

Recyling began in Ancient Rome. the first US recycling center opened in 1896.
