we're giving Morgan credit for the extra boxes of cookies we had...it's enough for her to get the cute plush frog prize...so I hope that makes up for my major ordering screwup! Morgan is such a good little Girl Scout!

the Girl Scout Law

at our last meeting I asked who remembered the Girl Scout Law...since I usually flub it up, & Breanna & Jazmine raced through it like a rap song. They do this at bedtime, having races to see who can say the Law the fastest! I found that rather cool!

well, Kris & I just came to conclusion that while no one owes money for missing cookies, it's because I didn't order the cookies on back of form & cheated Morgan out of 28 boxes of cookie sales. what a raw deal for such a good little Girl Scout! how can I make that up to her?

cortney, bre, & jaz picked up their cookies after school. nellie hasnt came yet but said she would swing by later.......still piles of cookies in the dailey house seeking a home.....we have extras but, of course, we must save them in case someone is short....{though katie very much doubts she was wrong in her counting and stacking}....

thursday

got home from work late, just had time to feed the dogs & cats & put kate's hair up for dance, ran her to princeton, to dollar general to get her favorite dance drink, then home to take kj to meet the game bus, then back to dance. we gassed up at casey's & headed to milan for the boys game at 8:30. kate was less than thrilled. she wasn't feeling good & tired from dance, but she went along. she had no choice. she did graciously dial up the Girl Scout moms for me on the cell phone so I could tell them we would be home friday for them to pick up their cookies.
game was running late. it was close....they lost by 1 to novinger in double overtime. kj got to play some in the 2nd quarter.
very foggy on way home, followd the bus. got home a little after midnite.

the princeton leaders sort theirs where the truck leaves them & the moms pick them up there...I drag mine home from princeton & sort them in my house & have them stacked everywhere...

supposed to arrive in Princeton tomorrow at noon. Sara offered to keep them for me till Weds...since I really really really want to go to Kj's game at Milan tomorrow & watch him maybe get to play....

We talked about what kind of computers we have at home...Jazmine has a game she can play on line on her Nintendo Ds.

The girls mainly play games on the computer. Lindsay has been stalked on YoVille, & said that lots of the players say bad things.

Everyone signed an internet safety pledge & took home for their parents to sign. the girls already knew all the Computer Lingo...bookmark, safety pledge, chat, link, email, search engine, & web site.
We learned that calculators, microwaves & VCRs have computer chips; that software can help us make thank you cards, fliers, write letters, play games, make spreadsheets...
all our parents use computers at work.

the girls made Magic Scratch Animals & had some free time.

Lindsay, Morrisa, Mackenzie, Kayla, & Katie braved the elements & journeyed to Decatur Co Hospital in Leon,IA to deliver the kids kids they'd made at their Christmas meeting. Mackenzie's mom Marcey was one of the nurses on duty so it was even more fun!
