from 2nd Ellon Brownies in Scotland...
Situated in the North East of Scotland, bordering the river Ythan, Ellon serves a dormitory town to Aberdeen and has grown in recent years thanks to the 1970's North Sea oil boom. With a population now approximately 10,000 Ellon is a thriving community and is popular with commuters wishing to work in Aberdeen but live outwith the city. We also have a rich agricultural area through had work and innovation. Ellon has 3 primary schools and 1 secondary school.
We have around 24 Brownies and 3 Guilders in our unit. We share a Guide hut along wtih 3 Rainbow, 4 other Brownie and 3 Girl Guide units. We enjoy going on walks in the nearby woods and Gordon Park and working towards badges. We are planning a sleepover in the summer with another Brownie unit from Aberdeen.
