Jazmine, Breanna, Morgan, Morrisa, Lindsay, Kayla, & Katie learned about counterfeit money & talked about their hobbies & collections. Katie & Kayla collect bouncy balls & seashells, Lindsay has about 150 stuffed animals, Jazmine & Breanna have glass dolls, Morgan has about 40 pet shop dolls, & Morrisa collects Disney Channel books.
The Juniors earned Collecting Hobbies & Consumer Power.

Spring Product Sale

the Spring Product sale runs March 8-22. there are lots of cool prizes for the girls to earn...selling magazines & nuts & candy. will hand out the sales packets at our next meeting. and Katie & I only wasted an hour and a half of our lives at the Leaders Meeting...

World Thinking Day 2010

Katie, Jazmine, Breanna, Lindsay, Morrisa, Morgan, & Cortney celebrated World Thinking Day by learning the Haiti, Chinese, & Taiwan Promises & Laws. we talked about area photographers & photography careers and musical careers...Breanna played her clarinet for us, Lindsay played Jazmine's flute & we sang Happy Birthday to Miss Breanna. we learned about Chinese New Year, made crafts, had fortune cookies & pb&j sushi, & learned to use chopsticks! we also watched the video that Anna from Kansas City made to raise $ for Haiti orphans. we all agreed that she has a beautiful voice & is doing a very nice thing.
What Chinese New Year were we born in? This is the Year of the Tiger. Katie is a Tiger. Lindsay & Breanna are Rabbits. Morrisa & Deb are Dragons. Jazmine, Cortney, & Morgan are Snakes.

an idea...

I get a lot of ideas while I'm at work basically letting my mind wander (might as well be honest!) & today had an idea...for a Girl Scout Scholarship! granted, our oldest Girl Scout right now is in 8th grade...but this gives us time to save $ for a scholarship...I would like to be able to do $100 per girl graduating...right now we have 4 in 5th grade, 1 in 4th grade, 3 in 3rd grade, 1 in 2nd grade, & 1 in kindergarten. we had quite a balance built up at one time, we did the bowling party...bought the girls vests...bought the girls t-shirts...paid this years membership fees...so basically back to the cookie money we just earned. have all badges thru Christmas already bought...
