Mascot exchange is coming together!

deb bought a Ty Beanie Cardinal (for the Mercer Cardinals!), & our troop has been accepted into a mascot exchange group, where your mascot will visit 5 other troops. It is suggested that we send with the mascot: a disposable camera, council patch, information about your hometown, swaps, letters from the girls in your troop.
They need 4 more troops to sign up so we can get started, so in the meantime deb will work on putting a box together, & girls, be ready to write some letters!
Katie thinks this sounds like fun!
After all the Flat Stacies get home, we'll work on MASCOT EXCHANGE & SWAPS! Something new & different, so no one gets bored!

Isabella Corrine

Dominique's Flat Stacie comes home!

She visited Troop 277 in Rolling Prairie, Indiana. She stayed with Sydney in LaPorte, Indiana. They worked on a Court Sports badge, went to Brookfield Zoo, saw Lake Michigan, ate at Giordano's Famous Stuffed Pizza, went to Zoo Island in Valparaiso where the girls played mini golf, rode bumper cars & drove go carts.
Stacy took a road trip with Sydney's family. They drove 4 1/2 hours to Cincinnati, Ohio, & stayed in a very comfy hotel. They crossed the Ohio River to visit the aquarium in Newport, KY. They saw all kinds of fish & frogs & Sydney got to pet sharks and feed lorikeets. Then we crossed the bridge back to Ohio & went to an Underground Railroad Museum. After another nite at the hotel, they headed back to Indiana. They stopped at Ball State University & saw the dorm where Sydney's cousin lives. They stopped in Kokomo, IN to see the worlds largest tree stump.
Flat Stacie visited 5 states with Sydney's family!!!
She had an envelope stuffed full of cool stuff---a Girl Scout Day at Brookfield Zoo patch, an Indy 500 swap, a Singing Sands swap, a map from Brookfield Zoo, menu from Giordano's Famous Stuffed Pizza, Indiana Dunes map, Newport Aquarium brochure, Indiana map, a rubbing they did at the Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
What a trip!!!

katie's flat stacie comes home from overseas!

"Kelly" was visiting the 4th Evesham Brownies in Worcestershire, United Kingdom!
She stayed with Ayse. She loved every minute of her stay & is looking forward to her next adventure.
She earned a Toymaker badge with the troop, they made a glove puppet while she was there & are going to make a noughts and crosses game out of newspaper, sellotape, & gift wrapping paper.
"Kelly" also came home with a 4th Evesham Brownie name tape that they wear on their badge sashes, a Wocestershire cloth badge, a postcard & picture from Cotswold Falconry Center where they held an European Eagle Owl which was really heavy. They saw lots of different birds. They also went to the Batsford Arboretum which was really pretty.
